Our monthly Partners in Design series continued on July 19th with a colorful event focused on tropical and exotic plants! At this fun and educational event, we welcomed Lisa Bashline of Van Atta’s Greenhouse and Flower Shop to our Lansing, MI showroom. Van Atta’s is a Haslett, MI based premier location for all your plant, garden decor, and flower needs.
Lisa’s presentation on July 19th was the third installment of our monthly Partners in Design events. In this monthly event series, McDaniels partners with local top businesses to showcase their products, services, and expertise. The McDaniels team is pairing up with some of the area’s premier businesses to share knowledge on a wide range of topics from photographic restoration to wines, charcuterie boards, and more. Each month we present another business and a fresh topic, so there is always something new to learn at our Partners in Design events!
The event on July 19th was well attended, and all participants were impressed with Lisa’s expertise and advice. Although Van Atta’s carries a wide range of plants, Lisa focused her presentation on tropical and exotic plants. She informed the participants that these unique plants are very popular right now. Although you may think they are not easy plants to keep, they are actually relatively straightforward to maintain once know what to do.
Lisa brought along examples of plants that are popular at the moment. She was able to demonstrate first-hand what to look out for and how to care for these unique and beautiful plants at home. Everyone found it informative and inspiring, and I am sure plenty of the event’s attendees will try their green thumbs at caring for these tropical and exotic plants.
